Hello there, if you’ve found this post, read the updated post 🙂

In preparing the posts and items for Veteran’s Day, every time I thought that’s it, publish it, I would think of something else. 😉
So far…
Post #1 Veteran’s Day: Word Work – which contains 3 versions of ABC order and 3 versions of Word Search puzzles based related vocabulary.
Post #2 Veteran’s Day: Resource for Branches of Service – definition and match-up of the branches of service.

And now for what I forgot…

To help build background knowledge and make connections for my Firsties, I would send home the Family Response form. I wish I would havthumbnail of pei-vet-letter-forme videoed the following mornings as they shared their forms with such enthusiasm and pride. “I didn’t know my uncle was in the Navy.” “My grandma was a Marine.” “My grandpa was in the Army.” To my surprise, they would bring in pictures and artifacts to share. It was a real bonding time.

The second item I forgot was the letter form. Due to my own background, I’ve had various connections to active duty personnel over the years. It’s always been a joy to write letters of gratitude to those serving their country. Click pic for a full size form.
