Who Knew? So many pictures!

I decided to start by looking through my pictures and using them as a launching pad to begin writing posts for the site. I was so surprised that I had 3000 pictures to sort through on my phone and laptop. Who knew?

Trying to anticipate how I would think through the pictures proved to be more challenging than I had first thought: Would I need the pic for something relating to Math or Language Arts? Did the pic contain things that I don’t have copyright permission to use? Who knew? Once folders were determined, I spent several hours sorting and deleting. Yikes!

The next concern was how to edit the pictures. I’ve seen everyone’s stylish pics and signature designs and wanted the same for my site. So, it was time to learn how to add captions over the pic in transparent boxes, cute frames, and create collages. More importantly, it was my goal to edit the pictures without having to purchase any software or apps.

After many frustrating searches, I stumbled upon LunaPic, a free editing site that was actually pretty intuitive. Here’s my first attempt.

Unfinished Classroom

I’m really excited about finding this tool. I plan on using this pic for a post concerning how to go from the massive pile that greets you in August to everything in place for the First Day of School. Now, the photo fun can begin!
