It’s all coming together… getting the WordPress site up, making activities, setting up my TeachersPayTeachers account, linking on Pinterest, and taking a deep a breathe. I’m excited and nervous all at the same time. So welcome to my very first packet to post on TeachersPayTeachers. I hope everyone will be kind while I go through the learning curve. I’ve created 3 versions of ABC Order and 3 versions of Word Search activities for Rob Scotton’s Splat the Cat and the Pumpkin-Picking Plan. The activities address the following TEA Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for English Language Arts:
Kindergarten:
ELA.K.3D Identify and read at least 25 high-frequency words from a commonly used list.
First Grade:
ELA.1.3H Identify and read at least 100 high-frequency words from a commonly used list.
ELA.1.6E Alphabetize a series of words to the first or second letter and use a dictionary to find words.
Second
ELA.2.2G Identify and read at least 300 high-frequency words from a commonly used list.
ELA.2.5D Alphabetize a series of words and use a dictionary or a glossary to find words.
Third
ELA.3.4E Alphabetize a series of words to the third letter and use a dictionary or a glossary to determine the meanings, syllabication, and pronunciation of unknown words.
Happy Pumpkin Picking! I hope you find the activities useful.
Thanks,
